BioCheerful, affectionate, and obsessed with romance, here we have the more extroverted half of the Astin twins. Not to say that J.M. is a shy little thing, certainly, but Izzy is one of the biggest socialites of her classmates, if not the entire school. She's a clever witch who excels especially in divinations and home & hearth, though she's earning fantastic marks in potions, herbology, and charms. If only she were a little more apt to deal with DatDA! Sadly, those boggarts always get the best of her.
Izzy's biggest weakness is romance. She's entirely taken in with the glories of love, and wants everyone to experience such feelings for themselves. She used to be annoyingly meddlesome in the past, but has mended her ways. Instead of forcing her advice down the throats of others, she waits patiently (if barely so) to be approached in order to offer her 'wisdom' on the matter. Currently she maintains a column on romantic advice for the school paper, entitled simply as "Dear Izzy." When it comes to helping herself, however, Izzy doesn't have a clue. Eager to help her friends and classmates, Izzy devises plans and plots in order to achieve ultimate happiness. Though her intentions are good, these plans sometimes fall far short of expectations!
Always approachable for a hug, a spot of tea, friendly advice, or a tarot reading, Izzy loves to feel needed and helpful. She's unlikely to refuse if asked for a date, so long as the asker is not a complete twat. After all, what's the harm in a friendly date?
